Invictus Victory Elixir, inspired by Rabanne Invictus Victory Elixir (2023)

Lavandin, a hardier cousin of lavender with a more camphorous bite, leads the opening alongside cardamom and black pepper. The heart turns smokier as incense and earthy patchouli move in. From there it sinks into vanilla and tonka bean, which smells of almond and sweet hay, so the finish is round and ambery.

About the original

Rabanne released Invictus Victory Elixir in 2023 as the Elixir edition of its Invictus men's line. Retailers label it Parfum Intense, and it comes in a black-to-dark-blue lacquered bottle with a gold V engraved in the glass. Invictus Victory, the 2021 Eau de Parfum Extreme, is a different scent.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Rabanne stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men who reach for spicy ambers rather than fresh blues are the likely fans. Vanilla and tonka are prominent in the drydown, so it may come across as too sweet for someone who wants a dry woody scent.

What concentration is the original Victory Elixir?

Rabanne's original is sold as a Parfum Intense. Our version, inspired by its scent profile, comes as an eau de parfum in 50 or 100 ml.

Is Victory Elixir sweet?

Moderately. Vanilla and tonka sweeten the base, while lavandin, pepper and incense keep the top and heart drier.
