Fame, inspired by Rabanne Fame (2022)

Fame pairs juicy mango and bergamot with a clean, luminous jasmine. What sets it apart is the incense: olibanum, the resin also called frankincense, runs from the heart into the base and gives the fruit a dry, slightly smoky edge. Vanilla and sandalwood round it off with a smooth, creamy finish. Rabanne rates the overall profile as sensual and fruity at a moderate intensity.

About the original

Rabanne launched Fame in 2022, created by four perfumers: Alberto Morillas, Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne and Fabrice Pellegrin. The refillable bottle is a sculpted bust inspired by the house's metal mesh dresses. The brand describes a blend of very pure jasmine, succulent mango and creamy incense. Fame has since grown into a line with Fame Intense, Fame Parfum, Fame Couture and Fame in Love. It should not be mixed up with Lady Gaga's 2012 perfume of the same name.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Rabanne stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Anyone who likes resin alongside fruit should take to it, and the mango keeps it light enough for daytime. It is moderately sweet and fruity. Note that the incense is noticeable throughout, which matters if resinous scents are not to your taste.
