Noir Extreme

Noir Extreme, inspired by Tom Ford Noir Extreme (2015)

Noir Extreme opens with spice and citrus, saffron and neroli, quickly joined by a kulfi accord. Kulfi is a dense Indian milk dessert, and here it brings a milky, spiced sweetness. Rose, jasmine and orange flower soften the middle without making it obviously floral. The finish is heavy on amber, with sandalwood and vanilla giving it a smooth, glowing base.

About the original

Tom Ford launched Noir Extreme in May 2015, after Noir Eau de Parfum (2012) and Noir Eau de Toilette (2013). Perfumer Sonia Constant is quoted on Tom Ford's own product page, and the brand describes it as an amber-drenched woody oriental for 'the Noir man'. We list it among our unisex scents, but Tom Ford markets it to men. Noir Extreme Parfum came later and is a separate concentration.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its sweetness and powdery amber make it a natural fit for wearers who like gourmand scents with a spiced, floral middle. The vanilla and kulfi are obvious, so buyers wanting a dry or fresh men's scent may find it too rich.

Our eau de parfum takes the 2015 Noir Extreme Eau de Parfum as its reference. Noir Extreme Parfum is a later, separate concentration, which we also make.

What is kulfi?

A dense Indian frozen milk dessert. Tom Ford uses a kulfi accord to give Noir Extreme its milky, spiced sweetness.

Is Noir Extreme a men's fragrance?

Tom Ford markets it to men as part of its Noir line. Noir Pour Femme is a different, women's fragrance, which we also make.
