The Story Behind the Scent

Ben Gorham named Mojave Ghost after the ghost flower (Mohavea confertiflora), a delicate desert bloom that flourishes against impossible odds in the Mojave Desert. The fragrance captures both the rugged beauty of the desert landscape and the rare elegance of the ghost flower itself. Jerome Epinette designed the composition around sandalwood as the centerpiece, paired with magnolia, violet, and refined musks for a translucent, almost ethereal character.

How It Smells

The opening is immediately soft and slightly fruity with sapodilla (a sweet tropical fruit) lifted by powdery ambrette creating a translucent introduction. There is an instant sense of refined niche delicacy, polished without weight.

The heart introduces creamy magnolia, refined violet, and warm sandalwood, creating a delicate floral-woody bouquet that distinguishes Mojave Ghost from typical niche compositions. The dry-down settles on smooth cedarwood, warm amber, and clean musks. A base that lingers on skin for hours with refined, slightly powdery, ethereally elegant depth.
