Musk Therapy, inspired by Initio Parfums Privés Musk Therapy (2021)

Bergamot and mandarin open it briefly before blackcurrant adds a tart, fruity note. White magnolia brings a clean, faintly lemony floral middle. The main event is the musk: white and pink musks, clean and powder-soft, layered over white sandalwood for a smooth, pale woody base. Initio marketed it around relaxation and well-being, and the scent fits that idea.

About the original

Musk Therapy came out in 2021 in Initio's Hedonist collection, and Initio still sells it today. The brand's own page sells it as an Extrait de Parfum, although some retailers list it as an Eau de Parfum. Initio classes it as Floral Ambery, Fruity. A hair perfume followed in 2024, and the brand also sells it in a duo with Power Self.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Initio Parfums Privés stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Musk fans after something comforting rather than animalic will find it easy to wear. Texture-wise it is clean and gentle, with no heavy resins or sugar. Blackcurrant gives a slightly tart, fruity edge that may surprise anyone expecting pure musk from start to finish.

Only gently. White magnolia sits in the middle, but the musks and sandalwood are what you notice most.

No, this page is based on the fragrance itself. Initio's Musk Therapy Hair Perfume (2024) is a separate product.
