Atomic Rose

Atomic Rose, inspired by Initio Parfums Privés Atomic Rose (2019)

Bergamot gives the first spray a citrus lift, and then the rose takes over almost completely. Two roses are blended, Turkish and Bulgarian, so the flower comes across full-bodied rather than thin. Hedione, a molecule with a light, jasmine-like freshness that adds air and radiance, keeps it from feeling dense, while jasmine and vanilla bean round off the edges. Initio describes it as building from soft to intense.

About the original

Initio Parfums Privés released Atomic Rose in 2019 as part of its Carnal Blends collection, and it is still part of Initio's range. The house does not publish the names of its perfumers. A hair perfume version followed in 2024; this page refers to the original eau de parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Initio Parfums Privés stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

With very little to distract from the flower, it will please wearers who already know they love rose. Vanilla adds a gentle sweetness without making it gourmand. Straight rose can seem old-fashioned to some noses, and here there is no spice or smoke to modernise it.

This page is based on Atomic Rose eau de parfum (2019). Initio added a hair perfume version in 2024.

Is Atomic Rose sweet?

Only lightly. Vanilla bean is in the list, but bergamot and hedione keep the rose fresh and radiant.
