Oud Voyager, inspired by Tom Ford Oud Voyager (2025)

Oud Voyager treats oud as something luminous. Pink pepper and citrus open it with a tingling brightness, and cardamom with saffron bring a spiced, golden glow. In the heart, geranium absolute adds a rosy green tone while a red peony accord gives fresh, petal-like florals, both arranged around the oud. The finish turns earthy with patchouli, vetiver and cypriol, a root with a smoky, woody smell, all smoothed by musk.

About the original

Tom Ford announced Oud Voyager in July 2025 as part of the Private Blend collection. Dominique Ropion composed it around what the brand calls a 'floral oud tri-distillate'. It won the Fragrance Foundation's Fragrance of the Year award in the Ultra Luxury category. Tom Ford's US page also mentions osmanthus, which does not appear in the press note list.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Oud fans who want the wood framed by rose-toned florals are the natural audience. The oud reads clean and spiced rather than animalic. Smoky, medicinal oud is a different style altogether, and this one makes no attempt at it.

They are separate Private Blend fragrances. Oud Voyager builds its oud around rosy geranium, a red peony accord and saffron, so it leans floral and spiced.

Does Oud Voyager smell animalic or smoky?

Not much. The oud is presented as luminous and floral, with an earthy rather than smoky base.
