Soleil Brulant
49,00 €
Creed’s 2024 warm sunlit oriental. Pink pepper and orange into honey and myrrh, on a luminous amber and oud base. Rebuilt at 40 percent perfume oil. Made in the EU.
The Burning Sun Oriental, 2024
Soleil Brulant arrived in 2024 as one of Creed’s most recent additions to the catalogue, designed as a warm sunlit oriental for the modern niche masculine and unisex market. The brief was an opulent honey amber composition built around pink pepper and orange at the opening, honey and myrrh at the heart, and a deep base of amber and oud. The “burning sun” name evokes the composition’s character: warm, glowing, slightly sensual, with the honey-myrrh accord providing a distinctive sweet smoky signature. As a recent release Soleil Brulant remains in active production and represents Creed’s current direction in luxury oriental perfumery. Our interpretation respects the warm character.
How It Smells
The opening is bright and slightly spicy, pink pepper leading with a quick warm spicy bite, orange adding juicy citrus warmth, and a quiet sparkling brightness threading through the early phase. Within fifteen minutes the heart unfolds the composition’s signature accord: honey takes a leading role with its rich golden sweetness (rendered as polished and luxurious rather than candy gourmand), myrrh adds smoky resinous depth that distinguishes Soleil Brulant from simpler honey compositions, and a quiet spicy nuance threads through the middle. The base is where Soleil Brulant earns its sunlit luxury reputation. Amber wraps the composition in luminous warm depth, oud provides polished refined dark woody character, and a quiet woody nuance grounds the drydown. The overall impression is warm sunlit oriental luxury, modern and grown up in the contemporary Creed tradition.
The Notes
Top: pink pepper, orange.
Heart: honey, myrrh.
Base: amber, oud.
How Our Version Compares
Honey amber compositions like Soleil Brulant reward concentration because the layered honey-myrrh-amber-oud interplay needs density to develop with depth. Our European Union production at 40 percent perfume oil concentration handles the composition well, with the pink pepper orange opening sparkling cleanly, the honey myrrh heart holding through the wearing, and the amber oud drydown lasting well into the next day on clothing.
Common Questions
How sweet is the honey?
Polished and luxurious rather than candy sweet. The honey in Soleil Brulant reads as golden sensual warmth, balanced by myrrh and oud rather than dominating the composition. Wearers who generally avoid sweet fragrances often find Soleil Brulant approachable.
Is it really unisex?
Yes, in the niche Creed tradition. The honey amber oud signature reads beautifully on any wearer. The composition operates outside standard gendered categories.
Best season and occasion?
Autumn and winter especially, when the warm honey amber character reads at its best. Evening occasions suit the composition particularly well. The luxury feel rewards occasions that justify presence.
How long does it last?
Ten to twelve hours at our concentration, with the amber oud drydown lingering on clothing well into the next day. The 40 percent oil approach extends the wearing significantly beyond the original eau de parfum format.
