Orion, inspired by Tiziana Terenzi Orion (2015)

Pineapple leads the opening, with apple and red currant adding crisp, tart fruit over bergamot. The heart turns darker as birch brings a smoky, tar-like tone, while patchouli adds earthiness and thyme a dry herbal note. Incense takes over the base with amber and oud, keeping the fruit from going sweet. Contrast between ripe fruit and smoke is what gives Orion its character.

About the original

Orion was released in 2015 in Tiziana Terenzi's Luna Collection, an extrait line that also includes Cassiopea and Draco. Paolo Terenzi is usually credited as its perfumer. The brand presents it as unisex, though some databases label it masculine. Its pineapple-and-birch pairing is compared by reviewers with Creed Aventus, a comparison of style rather than of identical scents.
