Soprano, inspired by Xerjoff Soprano

Soprano opens on lychee, juicy-floral and a little watery, with bergamot and freesia keeping it clear. Bulgarian rose and Egyptian jasmine form the heart, and a milk accord gives them a smooth, lactonic feel (lactonic means milky, like cream), while osmanthus adds an apricot-like nuance. Patchouli, oud and leather give the base a darker, drier frame than the heart suggests.

About the original

Soprano is part of Xerjoff's Vibe collection, listed by some retailers under the V-Collection name, and it is presented with a Xerjoff silk foulard. Xerjoff describes it as calm and idyllic. It appears to have started in Xerjoff's sister line Sospiro before moving to Xerjoff branding; we have not found the house confirming a launch year or naming a perfumer.

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Xerjoff stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.
