Baies (H), inspired by Diptyque Baies

Blackcurrant leads, though not as a syrup. Diptyque's own copy speaks of fresh-picked berries still on their leaves and stems, and that green, crushed-leaf snap is central to the idea. Rose sits underneath, described by the brand as lively and flowery, which keeps the fruit from tipping into candy. Fruit and greenery end up in equal measure.

About the original

Baies is one of Diptyque's best-known candles and a long-standing part of its permanent home range, which also includes a room spray, diffusers and refills. We found no Baies eau de toilette or eau de parfum from Diptyque, so our wearable version takes the home scent as its reference. We could not verify a launch year from a reliable source.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Diptyque stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

People who already burn the candle and want its blackcurrant-and-rose mood on skin are the natural buyers. It reads tangy and green, so lovers of deep, sweet berry gourmands may find it too leafy.

Is Baies sweet?

Only lightly. The blackcurrant is tangy and leafy, and the rose keeps it floral rather than sugary.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
