Spearmint and fresh herbs open it over a citrus lift, cool and green. Rose comes through the mint rather than after it, so the two read as a single dewy accord. Lavender and eucalyptus, listed among the ingredients, add an aromatic edge. The effect is fresh and welcoming, as the brand intended.

About the original

Etat Libre d'Orange launched the scent in April 2017, created with the author Chandler Burr and named after his 2009 novel set in Los Angeles. Caroline Sabas composed it, her first fragrance for the house. The brand pictured a modern Los Angeles woman, though the perfume is sold as unisex. It is generally seen as more wearable and less provocative than much of the Etat Libre d'Orange range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Etat Libre d'Orange stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Green-scent lovers curious about the house but put off by its more provocative titles may start here. It suits spring and summer. Mint is prominent, which will not suit everyone.

No. The name comes from Chandler Burr's 2009 novel You or Someone Like You, and Burr worked with the brand on the scent.
