Rain Tea, inspired by Louis Vuitton Tea Storm (2025)

Lemongrass starts Rain Tea with a lemony, grassy lift, more herbal than citrus peel. A tea accord follows, clear and slightly astringent, with magnolia and centifolia rose from Grasse filling out the middle. That rose is a CO2 extract, a gentle extraction method that tends to keep a flower's fresh, natural character. As it dries down a woody base appears, carrying a faint hay note and a little honey that rounds off the tea.

About the original

Louis Vuitton introduced Rain Tea in 2025 as part of a trio sold at first only in China, together with Moon Tale and Ink Mark. For the global release announced in August 2026 the scent was renamed Tea Storm, and it is reported to be the same formula under the new name. Louis Vuitton now sells it as Tea Storm in its Perfumes of the World collection. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud is credited as its perfumer, and the trio's bottles were inspired by Chinese snuff bottles.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Magnolia, rose and honey give the tea a fuller floral body, which suits a wearer who wants more than a plain citrus and tea. It reads clean and aromatic for the most part, with only a mild sweetness late on. Hay and honey stay in the background, so it never becomes a gourmand.

The opening is lemongrass, zesty and grassy, quickly joined by the tea accord.

In the heart, magnolia gives a smooth, lemony floral tone and the Grasse rose a fresh, petal-like one, both sitting on top of the tea.

The base turns woody, with a dry trace of hay and a little honey.

Is Rain Tea the same as Louis Vuitton Tea Storm?

Yes. Rain Tea was the name used in China in 2025; Louis Vuitton renamed it Tea Storm for its 2026 global release, and it is reported to be the same formula.

Is Rain Tea a black tea or a green tea scent?

Louis Vuitton describes a tea accord without naming the type. Paired with lemongrass, it reads light and aromatic rather than smoky.

Does Rain Tea smell sweet?

Only a little at the end, where honey and hay join the woods. The opening and heart are fresh and floral.
