Arba Wardat starts with a quick citrus flash of bergamot that clears for the flowers. Rose and jasmine form the heart and stay together as a classic pairing. The base gives the florals a smooth woody backing, with amber and musk filling out the sandalwood.

About the original

Rasasi, the Dubai house founded in 1979, explains that the name means four flowers in Arabic. The scent exists in two formats: a 70 ml eau de parfum, usually sold as a women's fragrance, and a 30 ml concentrated oil that Rasasi markets as unisex. Both are listed with largely the same notes. No launch year has been published.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Rasasi stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rasasi suggests spring and summer for the oil version, and the citrus start fits warmer weather. One retailer calls it soft rather than heavy for an oriental. Its gentleness may disappoint buyers looking for a smoky, oud-led rose.
