The Story Behind the Scent

Launched in 2019 and composed by Jean-Claude Ellena for Frederic Malle, Rose & Cuir pairs a bright rose with smooth leather, a minimalist yet striking rose leather built around blackcurrant, geranium, a fresh rose and a soft leather over a clean vetiver musk base.

Our interpretation rebuilds Rose & Cuir at 40 percent perfume oil so the fresh rose opening and the smooth leather base project and last well on skin.

How Our Version Compares to the Original

The original is a luxury eau de parfum sold at high pricing. We build ours at a high perfume oil concentration and sell direct, so you get the same character for a fraction of the price.
