Silk Blossom, inspired by Jo Malone London Silk Blossom Cologne (2014)

White pepper gives the start a light, sparkling fizz rather than real spice. The heart is silk blossom, a pale, faintly peachy floral note with a dewy feel. Moss underneath gives the drydown a slightly green, shaded finish. It is a gentle composition, and one reviewer found it pretty but rather thin.

About the original

Silk Blossom first appeared in 2014 as a limited edition spring cologne. In April 2017 Jo Malone London re-issued it in a limited Blossoms trio with Plum Blossom and Osmanthus Blossom. The name returned in 2023, but only for a home diffuser in that year's Blossoms collection; the 2023 colognes were Nashi Blossom, Osmanthus Blossom and Star Magnolia. There is no current Silk Blossom cologne.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Delicacy is its main quality, so it sits best with someone who finds most florals too heavy. It was released as a spring scent. Wearers wanting a heady white floral or a sweet fruit note will find it too pale.

Is Jo Malone Silk Blossom discontinued?

It was a limited edition in 2014 and again in a limited 2017 trio. It is no longer produced as a cologne and is not in Jo Malone London's current range.

Is this the Silk Blossom diffuser scent from 2023?

No. This page refers to the 2014 cologne. The 2023 Silk Blossom was a home diffuser, not a wearable fragrance.

Is Jo Malone London Silk Blossom coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Jo Malone London about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
