Kashkha, inspired by Swiss Arabian Kashkha

Kashkha begins with apple and bergamot, cinnamon giving the fruit a spiced, baked feel. Saffron and cardamom lead into the heart, where agarwood, which Swiss Arabian calls golden agarwood, comes forward. The base settles on cedarwood and amber, with musk smoothing the edges.

About the original

Swiss Arabian, the UAE house, presents Kashkha as a unisex fruity, spicy oud; the name is Arabic for stylish. Retailers give its launch year as 2013 or 2015. It is sold as a 50 ml eau de parfum and as a concentrated oil with the same notes, and some Gulf retailers spell it Kashka. This page follows the eau de parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Swiss Arabian stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Swiss Arabian recommends it for cooler seasons, and a US retailer adds evening events. Apple and cinnamon make the oud easier to wear than a dry, austere one. Cinnamon and cardamom both feature, so buyers who dislike spice should be aware.
