The Story Behind the Scent

Amouage created Material as a modern, sophisticated green scent, pairing fresh angelica and juniper with an earthy carrot seed and a smoky, leathery base.

Our interpretation follows that character. We keep the angelica, green notes and juniper fresh up top, let carrot seed and geranium carry an earthy middle, and finish on a smoky vetiver, incense and leather base.

How Our Version Compares to the Original

The original is a luxury niche eau de parfum sold at high pricing. We build ours at a high perfume oil concentration and sell direct, so you get the same character for a fraction of the price.

Most of the price of a luxury niche fragrance goes to the brand name, packaging and retail markup rather than the liquid itself. We put our budget into the scent and sell direct, so you get a comparable experience for a fraction of the price.

Is this the same perfume as Amouage Material?

No. We do not use the same formula or ingredients. It is an independent interpretation made to evoke the same style at a much lower price.

How long does it last?

You can expect several hours on skin. Spraying onto clothing as well as skin helps it last even longer.

It is unisex and works day or night across most seasons.

How should I apply it?

Spray on pulse points such as the wrists, neck and inner elbows. A light spritz on clothing makes it last through the day.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
