Brisa Cubana, inspired by Escada Brisa Cubana (2024)

Lime comes first, tart and zesty, and mint oil follows with a cool, leafy freshness that recalls a mojito. Mariposa, Cuba's national flower, adds a gentle floral note beneath the citrus. There is no heavy base to speak of. It stays crisp and cooling, in the manner of Escada's earlier summer editions.

About the original

Escada released Brisa Cubana at the end of December 2023 as its limited edition for spring and summer 2024, released alongside Nectar de Costa Rica in the same summer series. It came as an eau de toilette in 30, 50 and 100 ml. The theme is a Cuban breeze, with a lime mojito accord and the mariposa flower. Like the house's other seasonal releases, it was made as a limited summer edition.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Escada stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Hot days are where it belongs. It is light and uncomplicated, with citrus and mint doing most of the work. Wearers wanting depth or a woody base will find it thin.

Mariposa is the name used in Cuba for its national flower, a white, fragrant bloom. In Brisa Cubana it adds a light floral touch under the lime and mint.
