Eau Rihla, inspired by Diptyque Eau Rihla Eau de Parfum (2023)

Pink peppercorn gives the start a spicy, almost fizzy lift, set against the dry, pencil-like wood of Atlas cedar. Iris then adds a cool, powdery tone, while saffron brings a leathery, slightly metallic spice and vanilla a subtle sweetness. As it dries down, a leather accord built from Chinese cedarwood takes over, dry and woody. Raspberry appears in Diptyque's note list too, offering a faint fruity glint.

About the original

Diptyque introduced Eau Rihla in 2023 as part of its Intense Collection, a trio inspired by the Middle East, launching it there first before Japan in March 2024. Rihla is the Arabic word for travel, and the scent draws on the founders' travels in the region. Diptyque markets it without gender, although our store lists it among women's perfumes. It is also sold as a hair mist and a body balm.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Diptyque stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Wearers of leather and wood scents, of any gender, are its natural fans. The leathery drydown and saffron give it a dark character, so it will not suit anyone looking for a light floral or a sugary gourmand.
