Fresh Couture, inspired by Moschino Fresh Couture (2015)

Mandarin and bergamot open it sweet and zesty, with ylang-ylang adding a floral cushion from the start. Raspberry gives the heart a light red-fruit tone, while white peony and osmanthus, a flower with an apricot-like, slightly leathery scent, bring a rosy smoothness. Everything is wrapped in a laundry-musk feel. Ambrox, a modern ambery-woody material, and clear woods make the base airy and transparent.

About the original

Moschino launched Fresh Couture on 5 November 2015, first as a Selfridges exclusive in the UK, with US distribution following in 2016. Created under Jeremy Scott, it came in a blue bottle that mimics a household spray cleaner, and Alberto Morillas composed the fragrance. Steven Meisel photographed Linda Evangelista for the campaign. Pink Fresh Couture and Gold Fresh Couture followed as separate flankers.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Moschino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Despite the cleaning-product bottle, the scent itself smells laundered and musky rather than of household sprays. It suits wearers who want something fresh and fruity without any harshness. The ylang-ylang and raspberry give it some sweetness, which may not please those after a purely citrus scent.
