Viva La Juicy Rose, inspired by Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rosé (2015)

Rosé starts with mandarin and pear, a fresh fruit pairing lifted by jasmine petals. Centifolia rose takes over in the heart, joined by white peony and jasmine sambac, so the flowers feel full but not dense. Orris, the powdery material drawn from iris root, gives the base a cosmetic smoothness, while benzoin adds a resinous, vanilla-like sweetness and ambrox a clean, ambery woodiness.

About the original

Juicy Couture released Viva La Juicy Rosé in late 2015 as a flanker of the 2008 Viva La Juicy, first selling it through HSN in the United States. It came as an eau de parfum in 50 and 100 ml. Many retailers drop the accent and list it as Viva La Juicy Rose. It is a different scent from Viva La Juicy Pink Couture and Petals Please.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Juicy Couture stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose sits at the centre, but the pear and mandarin keep it playful, which suits a wearer who finds traditional rose perfumes too formal. Benzoin brings some sweetness without the caramel weight of other Viva La Juicy flankers.

Gold Couture leans gourmand, with caramel and vanilla in the base. Rosé is a fruity floral centred on rose and peony, finishing on orris and benzoin.
