Lacoste Pour Femme, inspired by Lacoste Pour Femme (2003)

Freesia and Jamaican pepper (allspice) give the start a clean floral note with a dry, peppery prickle. Heliotrope follows, almond-like and slightly powdery, alongside jasmine and rose. Ambrette seed, a plant source of musk, adds a faint pear-like skin note. The base is suede and cedar with sandalwood and a thread of incense, so it ends smooth and dry.

About the original

Lacoste introduced Pour Femme in 2003 as the women's companion to Lacoste Pour Homme, which had appeared the year before. Osmoz credits Olivier Cresp with the composition. Its slim clear bottle carries a silver crocodile. The licence passed from Procter & Gamble to Coty and, since 2024, to Interparfums; the scent is still sold on lacoste.com.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lacoste stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its character is restrained and skin-like, with the florals held in balance by suede. There is no gourmand sweetness pulling at it. A buyer looking for a sweet floral may find it reserved.

Is it a powdery perfume?

Only slightly. Heliotrope gives it a faint powdery, almond tone, but suede and cedar keep the base smooth rather than dusty.
