About the original

Launched in the US on 30 July 2024, Flowers & Flames is a floral flanker of Libre, with Dua Lipa fronting a campaign shot in the Moroccan desert. Retailers credit it to Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm, the perfumers behind the Libre line. It is the only Libre with this name, separate from the Intense, Le Parfum, Berry Crush, Vanille Couture and L'Absolu Platine versions.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Yves Saint Laurent stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Compared with the original Libre, this one feels sun-warmed and rounder, the coconut accord giving it a milky tone. That coconut and the extra sweetness may put off a buyer who likes Libre for its cleaner lavender edge. Retail positioning points to warm weather, though YSL does not say so itself.
