Gucci Rush 2, inspired by Gucci Rush 2 (2001)

Rush 2 is built flat rather than in layers: its flowers seem to arrive together, like a vase of cut stems in cold water. Freesia, lily of the valley and rose are joined by narcissus, lily and gardenia. A palm note adds a green, sappy quality, and blackcurrant a tart edge. Musk and a little oakmoss sit underneath, keeping the whole thing crisp and fresh.

About the original

Gucci released Rush 2 in 2001 as a follow-up to Gucci Rush, the 1999 fragrance from the Tom Ford years. Despite the shared name it is a separate scent, a fresh green floral sold as an eau de toilette. It is no longer listed by Gucci, and specialist sellers describe it as discontinued, although old bottles still circulate.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Gucci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Light and dewy, Rush 2 belongs in daytime settings and the warmer months. It is a light scent and feels relaxed. Its watery florals and quiet musk will seem too plain to someone after a rich or sweet perfume.

Narcissus, lily and gardenia join a green palm note in the middle, keeping the bouquet dewy rather than heady.

Is Gucci Rush 2 discontinued?

It no longer appears in Gucci's fragrance range, and specialist sellers list it as discontinued. Old stock still turns up second-hand.

Is Rush 2 the same as Gucci Rush?

No. Gucci Rush (1999) is a different fragrance, and Rush 2 followed in 2001 as a fresh green floral. We also make Gucci Rush.

Is Gucci Rush 2 coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Gucci that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
