Bamboo, inspired by Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum (2015)

Bamboo opens on bergamot, a brief citrus prelude before the flowers arrive. The heart is a white and yellow bouquet: Casablanca lily, with its spicy, almost peppery petal note, alongside ylang-ylang and orange blossom. Sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and amber build a faintly sweet base that grows stronger as the florals recede. Gucci described it as intense, graceful and gentle at the same time, and the balance between petals and wood bears that out.

About the original

Gucci introduced Bamboo in spring 2015, naming it after the bamboo handles of the house's accessories. Gal Gadot fronted the campaign, and the pink juice came in a faceted, art deco-style bottle. A lighter Eau de Toilette followed in 2016, and limited editions appeared later.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Gucci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone who enjoys classic white florals but wants them rounded with vanilla and wood will find it easy to wear. Lily can read slightly spicy and the base turns noticeably sweet over time, which matters if vanilla is not your thing.
