Sporty Citrus, inspired by Michael Kors Sporty Citrus (2013)

Mandarin and orange give a zesty, peel-heavy start, and pink pepper adds a slight tingle. Orange blossom carries the citrus theme into the heart, where jasmine gives it a cleaner floral shape. At the end, patchouli and woody notes keep it anchored without darkening it.

About the original

Sporty Citrus appeared from October 2013 in travel retail as part of Michael Kors' first global beauty collection, alongside Sexy Amber and Glam Jasmine. It was positioned as the casual, fresh member of that trio, and Honorine Blanc of Firmenich is credited with it. The brand's current range, rebuilt after the licence moved from Estée Lauder to EuroItalia, no longer lists it, though we have found no official statement.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Michael Kors stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Michael Kors positioned it as the casual, clean member of the 2013 trio, aimed at an active lifestyle, and its notes stay with citrus, white flowers and light woods. Fans of rich or powdery florals may find it too plain.

Is Michael Kors Sporty Citrus discontinued?

It is no longer listed in Michael Kors' fragrance range, which was rebuilt around Pour Femme and Pour Homme after the 2023 licence change. Michael Kors has not, as far as we can find, announced its withdrawal.

How does it compare with Sexy Amber and Glam Jasmine?

All three came out together in 2013. Sporty Citrus is the fresh citrus one, while the other two, as their names suggest, centre on amber and jasmine.

Is Michael Kors Sporty Citrus coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Michael Kors that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
