Rose Musc, inspired by Narciso Rodriguez Rose Musc (2016)

Rose absolute from Morocco leads, full-bodied and plush, and saffron gives it a golden spice. The musk at its centre is the thread that ties it to the rest of the Narciso Rodriguez line. Labdanum, a sticky resin with an amber, almost leathery smell, joins black pepper and patchouli in the base, so the rose ends up wrapped in something darker.

About the original

Rose Musc was released in 2016 as the second of Narciso Rodriguez's Oriental Musc editions, following Amber Musc (2013). In the UK it arrived as a Harrods exclusive in March 2018, alongside Amber Musc and Santal Musc. It comes only as a 100 ml eau de parfum intense in a gold lacquered bottle and now belongs to the brand's Musc Collection.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Narciso Rodriguez stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spiced, resinous roses are its natural territory: saffron, labdanum and patchouli make it opulent rather than fresh. Its density and spice may feel too much for a wearer who prefers a dewy garden rose.

Is this the same as Narciso Rodriguez for her MUSC NOIR ROSE?

No. Rose Musc (2016) belongs to the Oriental Musc editions, now the Musc Collection, while for her MUSC NOIR ROSE is a separate fragrance in the for her line. We make both.

Is Rose Musc a sweet rose?

It is more spiced and resinous than sweet, with saffron, labdanum, black pepper and patchouli around the rose and musk.
