Angel Muse, inspired by Mugler Angel Muse (2016)

Angel Muse begins with grapefruit and pink pepper, tangy and peppery rather than sweet. The centre is a hazelnut cream accord, nutty and toasted, close to a chocolate spread. Vetiver, a root with a dry, smoky-earthy smell, then pulls the sweetness back, and patchouli links it to the Angel family. The result is gourmand but noticeably drier than Angel itself.

About the original

Quentin Bisch created Angel Muse for Mugler in 2016, and it was marketed as the first gourmand vetiver for women. An eau de toilette version followed in 2017; our version follows the eau de parfum. Mugler's own site now confirms that Angel Muse has been discontinued and suggests Angel Elixir instead.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Mugler stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Angel fans who find the original too sugary are its natural audience. It works best in autumn and winter. The hazelnut is prominent and the vetiver-patchouli base earthy, so those who dislike nutty or rooty notes may struggle with it.

Yes. Mugler's official site lists Angel Muse as discontinued.

Is Angel Muse sweeter than Angel?

Less so. The hazelnut is gourmand, but vetiver keeps the base drier than the original.

Is this the eau de parfum or the eau de toilette?

It follows the 2016 eau de parfum, the main version of Angel Muse.

Is Mugler Angel Muse coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Mugler that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
