City Of Stars, inspired by Louis Vuitton City of Stars (2022)

City of Stars opens with a dense cluster of citrus: blood orange leads, while lime and bergamot give it a tart, sparkling edge. Underneath sits a tiaré accord, a recreation of the Tahitian gardenia that smells floral and faintly sunny. As the peel fades, sandalwood and a powdery musk take over, so the scent ends smooth rather than zesty.

About the original

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud composed City of Stars for Louis Vuitton, which launched it in April 2022 as a portrait of Los Angeles at night. It joined the Cologne Perfumes collection alongside scents such as California Dream and Sun Song, although its own concentration is eau de parfum. The bottle and travel case carry artwork adapted from an original painting by the artist Alex Israel. Louis Vuitton celebrated the launch at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.
