Woman In Gold, inspired by Kilian Paris Woman in Gold (2017)

Bergamot gives Woman in Gold a luminous start, pricked by pink pepper. Rose and geranium form the heart, the geranium adding a green, slightly minty sharpness to the petals. The base is where it turns opulent: tonka bean and vanilla, deepened by akigalawood, a patchouli molecule with a woody, peppery tone.

About the original

Calice Becker composed Woman in Gold, which Kilian launched in September 2017 alongside the men's Gold Knight to mark the house's tenth anniversary. Woman in Gold was inspired by Gustav Klimt's gold-leaf paintings. It first appeared in the From Dusk Till Dawn collection and is now listed in Kilian's The Narcotics range, labelled simply as 'Perfume'.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kilian Paris (By Kilian) stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose lovers who want their flower softened with vanilla and tonka are its natural audience. Its drydown leans sweet and powdery, with a marshmallow-like quality, and a few wearers find it soapy.
