Boss Orange Femme, inspired by Boss Orange Woman (2009)

A crisp red apple note opens it, fresh and lightly sweet. African orange flower and white flowers soon take over, smooth and slightly creamy, without the heady intensity of tuberose-style florals. Vanilla and sandalwood give the base its comforting warmth, and olive wood adds a dry, pale woodiness. It stays close to the skin throughout.

About the original

Boss Orange was launched in July 2009 with Sienna Miller as the face of the campaign, and an Eau de Parfum version followed later. Two years on, Hugo Boss added Boss Orange Man, a separate scent. The women's fragrance is not on Hugo Boss's own fragrance pages, yet some major European retailers still stock it, possibly under a BOSS Woman label. We have not been able to confirm whether it is still produced.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Hugo Boss stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

As an everyday and office scent it works well, because it is soft and unobtrusive. Some wearers find it a little dated, and those wanting strong presence or a bold floral will probably find it too quiet.

Is Boss Orange for women still made?

We have not been able to confirm it. It is missing from Hugo Boss's own fragrance pages, but some retailers still list it, possibly under a new name.

Is this the women's or men's Boss Orange?

The women's original from 2009. The men's Boss Orange (2011) is a different apple, incense and vanilla scent, also in our range.
