The Scent For Her, inspired by BOSS The Scent for Her (2016)

Peach comes first, ripe and honey-coated, with freesia adding a lighter floral note so the start does not turn syrupy. Osmanthus follows; it is a small Asian blossom that smells of dried apricot with a faint suede-like edge, and it links the fruit to the base without a break. Roasted cocoa settles underneath, giving the finish the darker sweetness of cocoa powder instead of milk chocolate.

About the original

Hugo Boss released The Scent for Her in 2016 as the partner to The Scent, its 2015 men's fragrance. It went first to travel retail and the Middle East in June that year, reaching American shops in August. Jason Wu advised on the bottle, whose cap borrows the shape of a Boss cufflink. In 2025 the brand moved it into a refillable bottle, and its current note list names peach, osmanthus and white musk, without the cocoa of the original description.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Hugo Boss stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its sweetness is plain from the first spray: fruit, honey and cocoa rather than anything green or citrus. That makes it a natural pick for gourmand fans, while lovers of crisp, minimal perfumes are likely to find it heavy.

The original description lists roasted cocoa as the base note, so there is a cocoa tone in the drydown. It comes across as sweet and roasted rather than as a chocolate dessert.

Hugo Boss moved The Scent for Her into a refillable bottle in 2025 and now lists its notes as peach, osmanthus and white musk. This page describes the original 2016 composition with freesia and cocoa.
