Bvlgari Man, inspired by Bvlgari Man (2010)

Bergamot, pear and violet leaf give a fresh, slightly watery opening with a touch of lotus. The heart is a pale woody accord, where vetiver has been stripped of its usual earthiness. Cypriol and ambrox add a dry, clean woodiness. A thin layer of honey and benzoin rounds off the base with only a little sweetness.

About the original

Alberto Morillas composed Bvlgari Man for Bvlgari in 2010, and the brand called it a white woody oriental. Morillas explained that he removed the dark, earthy part of vetiver to keep only its lighter side. Clive Owen fronted the launch. The scent became the starting point for the Bvlgari Man line, but the original eau de toilette no longer appears in Bvlgari's current range, which now lists Man in Black and the Essence editions instead.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bvlgari stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Quiet and polished, it suits men who want a fragrance that smells clean rather than dramatic. The honey is light, so anyone hoping for a rich amber will find it too restrained.

Is Bvlgari Man discontinued?

It no longer appears in Bvlgari's fragrance range, which now lists Man in Black and the Essence editions. Some retailers may still have remaining bottles.

How is it different from Bvlgari Man in Black and Man Extreme?

Bvlgari Man is built on pale woods and lightened vetiver. Man Extreme (2013) and Man in Black (2014) are later flankers with their own compositions, and we make both.

Is Bvlgari Man coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Bvlgari that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
