La Nuit Tresor A La Folie, inspired by Lancôme La Nuit Trésor à la Folie (2018)

Pink pepper fizzes at the top with pear and red currant, crisp and lightly tart. Damask rose then takes the centre, surrounded by violet, peony and jasmine. The drydown slides into Bourbon vanilla, tonka and benzoin, a resin with a warm, almost balsamic sweetness. Ambroxan and patchouli add a woody, skin-like finish.

About the original

Lancôme launched à la Folie in early 2018 as a flanker of La Nuit Trésor (2015). Christophe Raynaud, Amandine Clerc-Marie and Honorine Blanc composed it around a rose Lancôme called Rose Fougueuse. It leans towards amber rather than the praline and caramel of the original La Nuit Trésor. It no longer appears on Lancôme's sites in France, Germany, the UK or the US.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose lovers who want more sweetness and warmth than a classic rose will understand it quickly. It feels romantic and enveloping, best saved for evenings and colder weather. The vanilla and powder may be too much for anyone who prefers fresh florals.

Is La Nuit Trésor à la Folie discontinued?

It no longer appears in Lancôme's range on its official websites. Some retailers may still hold stock.

How is it different from the original La Nuit Trésor?

The original leans on praline and caramel. À la Folie is fruitier at the start and more of a rose and amber scent.

Is Lancôme La Nuit Tresor A La Folie coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Lancôme that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
