La Nuit Tresor Dentelle De Roses, inspired by Lancôme La Nuit Trésor Dentelle de Roses (2021)

Damask rose sits at the centre, wrapped in a red-fruit accord with raspberry that gives the petals a jammy, slightly tart depth. Mandarin and bergamot lighten the first minutes without making it citrusy. Lower down, patchouli adds an earthy darkness and a velvet accord (a plush, smoothing effect rather than a single ingredient) rounds off the edges. Compared with the main La Nuit Trésor, it reads rosier and fruitier.

About the original

Lancôme released Dentelle de Roses in January 2021 as a limited-edition Eau de Parfum within the La Nuit Trésor line, which began in 2015. Its bottle was dressed in a lace veil made by the lace-maker Maison Sophie Hallette, which the name, meaning 'lace of roses', refers to. It came in 30 ml and 50 ml, and no perfumer was credited in the launch coverage we found. The main La Nuit Trésor Eau de Parfum is still part of Lancôme's range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose wearers with a sweet tooth are the natural audience. Raspberry and patchouli give it more weight than a dewy rose, and the overall impression is sweet, so admirers of dry or green roses may want something sparer.

Damask rose then takes over, thickened by raspberry and the red-fruit accord into something nearer rose jam than a freshly cut bloom.

Patchouli and the velvet accord form the base, giving the rose a darker, smoother floor to rest on.

Is La Nuit Trésor Dentelle de Roses discontinued?

It was a limited edition launched in 2021 and is no longer produced. The main La Nuit Trésor remains in Lancôme's range.

How does it differ from La Nuit Trésor?

La Nuit Trésor (2015) is a sweet, gourmand scent. Dentelle de Roses puts Damask rose and raspberry in front with patchouli underneath, so it smells more floral and fruity. We make both.

Is Lancôme La Nuit Tresor Dentelle De Roses coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Lancôme about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
