Tresor, inspired by Lancôme Trésor Eau de Parfum (1990)

Trésor is built on the pairing of rose with apricot and peach, a combination that gives the flower a velvety, fruit-skin texture. Iris and lilac bring the powder that defines it, the smooth, slightly cosmetic feel associated with face powder. Nothing in it is green or sharp. Amber, sandalwood, musk and vanilla round it into something plush and enveloping.

About the original

Sophia Grojsman composed Trésor for Lancôme in 1990, and it is presented in an inverted crystal pyramid bottle. Lancôme still sells it and describes it as smooth and romantic. Some longtime wearers say it has been reformulated, with the current version showing more rose and vanilla and less peach than older bottles, though this rests on user reports rather than anything Lancôme has published. The name was later reused for La Nuit Trésor (2015), a much sweeter gourmand.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Lovers of powdery, rose-led perfumes will recognise its style at once. It is rich and noticeably powdery, which may feel old-fashioned to anyone used to clean, airy modern florals.

Yes. Iris and lilac give it a distinctly powdery texture, rounded by apricot and peach.

Has Trésor been reformulated?

Some longtime wearers say so, describing today's version as leaning more towards rose and vanilla than older bottles. Lancôme has not documented a change.
