Lady Million Empire, inspired by Paco Rabanne Lady Million Empire (2019)

Empire opens on candied currant with orange and neroli, sugary and zesty at once. Magnolia leads the heart, joined by orange blossom, osmanthus (a flower with an apricot-like scent) and mirabelle plum. Underneath sits a cognac accord, rich and slightly boozy, over white patchouli and white musk. Rabanne called it a chypre, though it is a sweet and fruity one.

About the original

Lady Million Empire launched in July 2019 as a flanker of Lady Million (2010). Anne Flipo and Jean-Christophe Hérault composed it, and Puig presented it as the first chypre from Paco Rabanne, with patchouli as its structure. Its bottle, designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, is pink with gold. Rabanne's current Lady Million range lists only Lady Million and Lady Million Royal.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Paco Rabanne stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweetness runs through the whole scent, from candied currant to cognac, so it suits people who enjoy fruity gourmand perfumes. Despite the chypre label, it is far sweeter than a traditional dry, mossy chypre.

It is no longer listed in Rabanne's Lady Million range, and it has been reported as discontinued.

Is this the 2020 Collector Edition?

No. It is inspired by the 2019 Lady Million Empire Eau de Parfum.

Does it smell of cognac?

There is a cognac accord in the base, which gives a rich, slightly boozy sweetness alongside the patchouli.

Is Paco Rabanne Lady Million Empire coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Paco Rabanne that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
