Light Blue Discover Vulcano launched in 2020 as part of D&G’s limited-edition “Discover” series, exploring different Italian islands through fragrance. Vulcano (named after the volcanic island in the Aeolian archipelago) was designed as a confident masculine flanker built around lemon and ginger at the opening, lavender, juniper and cypress at the heart, and a base of vetiver, cedar and woody notes. The brief took the Light Blue Mediterranean identity into volcanic island territory with denser aromatic character. As a limited edition, distribution was always restricted, and Discover Vulcano is now fully discontinued. Original bottles circulate primarily through resale platforms. How It Smells

The opening is bright and slightly spicy, lemon leading with its sharp citrus character, ginger adding a quick warm spicy bite that distinguishes Discover Vulcano from typical Light Blue compositions, and a quiet sparkling brightness threading through the early phase. Within fifteen minutes the heart settles into the perfume’s signature accord: lavender takes a leading aromatic role, juniper berries add a quiet gin-like aromatic depth, cypress contributes a mineral wood character, and a soft aromatic continues threading through the middle.
