Love, inspired by Chloé Love, Chloé (2010)

Pink pepper and orange blossom open it with a light, airy prickle, but the real subject is iris. Iris here smells like lipstick and face powder rather than like a garden flower, and it is joined by lilac, hyacinth and the almond-tinged sweetness of heliotrope. Wisteria adds a faint purple, slightly green floral note. Everything then sinks into a musky, rice-powder finish that feels soft against the skin.

About the original

Louise Turner and Nathalie Gracia-Cetto created Love, Chloé, launched in 2010 (some sources give 2011). Bois de Jasmin described it as understated and intimate, with the powder as its defining trait. Love Eau Intense followed in 2011. Chloé Love Story (2014), which the brand still sells, is an unrelated perfume despite the similar name. Love, Chloé itself is no longer listed by Chloé, and perfume databases record it as withdrawn.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Chloé stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Powder is the whole point here. Bois de Jasmin found it suitable for day and evening alike, and its quiet character suits close-range settings more than crowded rooms. If talc or makeup-bag notes put you off, skip it, because the powder never really lifts.

Is this Love, Chloé or Chloé Love Story?

Love, Chloé from 2010, the powdery iris scent. Love Story (2014) is a different fragrance that Chloé still sells.

Why can I no longer buy Love, Chloé from the brand?

It no longer appears in Chloé's current range. We have not found an official statement explaining when or why it was withdrawn.

How powdery is it?

Very. Iris, heliotrope and rice powder give it a makeup-powder character from the heart onwards.

Is Chloé Love coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Chloé that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
