Nightflight

Nightflight, inspired by Joop! Nightflight (1992)

Pineapple is the first thing to register, tart and juicy against lavender, lemon, lime and bergamot. Juniper and green notes give the top an outdoorsy crispness. The heart is floral and woody at once: jasmine, rose and geranium set against Brazilian rosewood and woodruff, a herb with a hay-like, almond-tinged smell. Almond and tonka bean then take over the base, with musk, sandalwood and amber giving a smooth, rounded finish.

About the original

Joop! released Nightflight in 1992, three years after Joop! Homme. Though classed as an oriental, it is noticeably fresher than that label suggests, thanks to its fruit and lavender opening. Nightflight is no longer listed by Joop!, and it is widely reported as discontinued, with only older bottles still circulating. We have not found a date for its withdrawal.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Joop! stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Compared with Joop! Homme, Nightflight is the lighter and more fruity of the two, so it may appeal to men who find Homme too heavy. The almond and tonka base is still sweet, if gentler.

It is no longer listed by Joop! and is widely reported as discontinued. We have not found a date for its withdrawal.

How does it compare with Joop! Homme?

Nightflight is fresher and fruitier, built on pineapple, lavender and almond, while Joop! Homme is a heavier cinnamon and vanilla oriental. We make both.

Is Joop! Nightflight coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Joop! that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
