Wow

Wow, inspired by Joop! Wow! (2017)

Wow! begins with cardamom, cool and slightly camphorous, beside violet leaf, which smells green and a little like cucumber skin. Bergamot freshens the top. Balsam fir then brings a resinous, pine-forest note, with vetiver and geranium keeping the heart dry and aromatic. Vanilla, tonka bean and cashmere wood, a smooth woody-musky material, gradually sweeten the base.

About the original

Joop! launched Wow! in 2017, with Christophe Raynaud usually credited as perfumer; some retailers date it to 2018. Its bottle is inspired by a whisky flask. Later flankers such as Wow! Fresh and Wow! Intense followed, and this page refers to the original eau de toilette. It is an aromatic woody scent, drier at the start than the house's sweet 1989 Joop! Homme.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Joop! stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A man who wants something sweeter than a fresh aromatic but drier than Joop! Homme sits squarely in its range. The vanilla and tonka in the base will bother anyone set on a fully dry woody scent.
