Love Tuberose

Love Tuberose, inspired by Amouage Love Tuberose (2018)

Love Tuberose puts its title flower in front straight away, full and heady, with gardenia and jasmine filling out the bouquet. A Chantilly cream note then rounds the flowers with a whipped, milky sweetness, and vanilla deepens it. Cedarwood and sandalwood keep the base from collapsing into pure sugar, though the overall feel stays rich and plump.

About the original

Created by Nathalie Lorson with Amouage creative director Christopher Chong, Love Tuberose appeared in Amouage boutiques in August 2018 and went on wider release the following month. It belongs to the Secret Garden series, which began with Lilac Love in 2016. What sets it apart within the series is the pairing of tuberose with a Chantilly cream accord and vanilla.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Amouage stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its sweetness is the deciding factor. Fans of gourmand florals will find it comforting and lush, while lovers of green, waxy or austere tuberose may find the cream and vanilla too much.

The opening is pure white flower, tuberose first, with gardenia and jasmine widening the bouquet.

In the heart, a Chantilly cream accord (lightly sweetened whipped cream) and vanilla give the flowers a pudding-like edge.

Cedarwood and sandalwood form a smooth woody base that steadies the sweetness.

Is Amouage Love Tuberose still made?

So far, we have not been able to confirm whether Amouage still produces Love Tuberose.

Is this the same as Lilac Love or Love Delight?

No. Those are other scents from Amouage's Secret Garden series. Love Tuberose is the tuberose and cream composition from 2018.
