Starwalker, inspired by Montblanc Starwalker (2005)

Starwalker begins with a green, slightly watery bamboo note set against bergamot and mandarin. Cedar and sandalwood follow, clean and pale, with white musk smoothing the transition. Ginger and nutmeg surface later, adding a dry, peppery spice, while amber and fir resin give the base a resinous depth. It stays airy throughout.

About the original

Named after Montblanc's Starwalker pen line, the fragrance arrived in Montblanc boutiques in September 2005, with a wider rollout the following month. Launch news credited Michel Almairac of Robertet as the perfumer. A flanker, Starwalker Extreme, followed; this page is the original. It is no longer listed on Montblanc's website or by the licensee Interparfums, although some retailers still sell remaining bottles.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Montblanc stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A good pick for someone who finds most woody scents too heavy, since the bamboo and citrus keep it light. The spice is subtle. Fans of dense amber or sweet tonka may find it too restrained.

It no longer appears in Montblanc's range or on Interparfums' brand page, so it appears to be discontinued, though no official announcement has been found.

Is this Starwalker or Starwalker Extreme?

The original Starwalker Eau de Toilette from 2005. Starwalker Extreme is a separate flanker.

Is Montblanc Starwalker coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Montblanc that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
