Terre Eau Tres Fraiche, inspired by Hermès Terre d'Hermès Eau Très Fraîche (2014)

Orange is what you notice first, with the zest and bitterness of a freshly peeled rind, joined by other citrus and a cool watery note. Geranium brings a slightly peppery green floral side. The woods underneath, cedar and patchouli, are lighter and less mineral than in the original, so the scent stays airy throughout.

About the original

Eau Très Fraîche appeared in 2014 as a lighter flanker of Terre d'Hermès and is usually credited to Jean-Claude Ellena. It is no longer listed in the Hermès men's range in the UK, the US, France or Germany. The current fresh flanker in the line is Eau Givrée, launched in 2022, which is a different fragrance. Hermès has not stated when or why Eau Très Fraîche was withdrawn.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Hermès stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Light and watery, it was worn above all in hot weather, where the earthier original can feel heavy. Wearers hoping for the flinty depth of Terre d'Hermès will find much less of it here.

Is Terre d'Hermès Eau Très Fraîche discontinued?

It no longer appears in Hermès's range in its main markets, and we have not found a date or reason from the brand.

Is this the same as Eau Givrée?

No. Eau Givrée (2022) is the current fresh Terre d'Hermès and a different scent. This page is the 2014 Eau Très Fraîche; we make Eau Givrée separately.

Is Hermès Terre Eau Tres Fraiche coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Hermès that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
