Touch of Sun

Touch of Sun, inspired by Lacoste Touch of Sun (2006)

Citrus does most of the talking at first: bergamot and grapefruit, sparkling and a little bitter, with green notes and an aquatic accord that suggests cool water. The flowers are kept light, a mix of jasmine, rose and peony. Underneath, sandalwood and vetiver give a dry woody line, and white musk with a little amber rounds it off cleanly.

About the original

Lacoste released Touch of Sun in March 2006 as a limited summer edition of its women's fragrance Touch of Pink. It was an eau de toilette in 50 ml and 90 ml, produced under the brand's licence with Procter & Gamble. A year later Lacoste followed with another limited flanker of Touch of Pink, Touch of Spring. No perfumer is documented for Touch of Sun, and only old stock now turns up through marketplace sellers.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lacoste stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its natural setting is hot weather, since Lacoste released it for summer. The composition stays light and fresh throughout, so a buyer wanting depth or a rich drydown may find it slight.

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Lacoste about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
