Under The Sea Woman, inspired by Carolina Herrera CH Under the Sea for women (2021)

The mermaid theme is taken literally. Ylang-ylang, a heady tropical flower, and pomelo, a large mild citrus, sit over a red seaweed accord with a salty, marine tang that gives the whole thing a bubbly, sea-spray feel. As it settles, coconut and vanilla round off the salt, while sandalwood and an accord the brand calls jungle essence add depth.

About the original

Carolina Herrera launched CH Under the Sea in April 2021 as a pair of limited edition flankers, one for women and one for men, to CH (2007) and CH Men (2009). The women's version was a 100 ml eau de parfum. The two share a theme but not a formula, so this page follows the women's notes only. No perfumer is named in the launch coverage.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Carolina Herrera stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Summer suits it by design, given the sea theme. Coconut and vanilla make the drydown sweeter than the salty opening suggests, which matters for anyone wary of coconut.

Does it smell of coconut?

Yes, mainly in the drydown, where coconut sits with vanilla and sandalwood. The opening is more floral and salty.

Is Carolina Herrera Under The Sea Woman coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Carolina Herrera about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
