Acqua Di Gio, inspired by Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò for men Eau de Toilette (1996)

Marine notes give the opening its salty, wet-stone freshness, carried by bergamot, neroli and green mandarin. Rosemary adds a herbal line that keeps it from smelling purely of citrus, while jasmine and persimmon bring a gentle floral-fruity middle. The base is quiet, mostly cedar and white musk warmed slightly by patchouli. Everything stays airy and transparent, more about atmosphere than richness.

About the original

Alberto Morillas composed Acqua di Giò for Giorgio Armani in 1996, a year after the women's fragrance of the same name. It became the root of a long line of flankers, among them Profumo, Profondo, an Eau de Parfum and an Elixir. Armani now sells the Eau de Toilette in a refillable bottle, and retailers and perfume reviews report a reworked formula from 2024, which Armani has not confirmed.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Giorgio Armani stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men who prefer clean, airy freshness to anything rich or sweet are its natural audience. The marine and herbal notes lead throughout, and there is no notable sweetness at any stage.
