Eternity, inspired by Calvin Klein Eternity for Men (1989)

Eternity for Men starts with lavender and mandarin, lifted by green, leafy notes. Basil and sage take over in the heart, with geranium adding a rosy, slightly minty edge. Sandalwood and rosewood make up the base over amber, smooth and quietly woody. Lavender, basil and sage dominate, and the result is usually described as clean, green and herbal, with a classic barbershop feel.

About the original

Calvin Klein launched Eternity for Men in 1989 as the counterpart to the women's Eternity, around the theme of romantic, lasting love. The perfume is usually credited to Carlos Benaïm. It is a fougère, the family built around lavender, given a greener, more herbal treatment here. The line has grown to include an Eau de Parfum (2019) and flankers such as Aqua and Eternity Now; this page is the original eau de toilette, which Calvin Klein still sells.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Calvin Klein stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Anyone fond of the classic barbershop fougère will find familiar ground here. It is herbal and clean, with no real sweetness. The lavender and basil can read as old-fashioned to buyers used to sweeter modern fragrances.

Is it the original or the Eternity for Men Eau de Parfum?

Our reference is the original eau de toilette. Calvin Klein added an Eau de Parfum in 2019; it is a separate version.
