My Land

My Land, inspired by Trussardi My Land (2012)

My Land opens with green mandarin and bergamot, brisk citrus that clears quickly. Lavender and violet then build the heart, joined by calone, a synthetic note with a watery, melon-like coolness. The structure is a fougère, the old barbershop family of lavender over a hay-sweet base, here given a modern turn. Leather is the dominant base note, shaded with vetiver and cashmere wood, while tonka bean brings that hay-like sweetness.

About the original

Trussardi launched My Land in 2012, describing it as a classical yet modern woody fougère built on woods and sensual leather. The bottle was designed by the architect Antonio Citterio, and the line extended to shower gel, aftershave lotion and a deodorant stick. Alexandra Kosinski is usually credited as the perfumer. In 2015 Trussardi followed it with Blue Land, a fresher variation.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Trussardi stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Leather sets the tone more than the citrus does, so My Land comes across as composed and grown-up. Its base is heavier than the opening suggests, and Blue Land is the lighter option of the two.

Is Trussardi My Land still made?

We have not been able to confirm whether Trussardi still produces it.

Is My Land the same as Blue Land?

No. My Land (2012) is the original, centred on leather and lavender. Blue Land (2015) is a fresher variation with green apple and sea notes, and we make both.

Does My Land smell of leather?

Yes, leather is the main base note, rounded by tonka bean and cashmere wood. The opening is citrus, so the leather emerges as it dries down.
